Family Constellations is a unique therapy that explores the hidden issues and dynamics within our family systems, sometimes spanning generations. We offer monthly sessions where individuals can experience this therapeutic process as seekers, representatives, or witnesses.
According to Bert Hellinger, every family system follows natural laws that govern its health, known as the “Orders of Love.” When these laws are violated, it can harm relationships and lead to entanglements. To uncover what lies beneath the surface, the process begins with participants volunteering to embody family members, ancestors, significant events, or even physical conditions. These representatives don’t merely act out roles; they embody the essential qualities of the individuals they represent. Through this process, representatives provide insights into the past, present, and future of the family system, offering clues that can aid in healing for the seeker and their family. As the representatives move, speak, and interact with each other, we observe the process, which may seem mysterious but is transformative and truthful. Then, we use healing sentences to acknowledge and repair unresolved issues from the past, bringing peace and healing to the seeker and their family. During these therapeutic workshops, we typically create 4-6 Family Constellations for participants. Everyone pays the same amount and has an equal opportunity to participate in a constellation. We often have 1-2 people on a list to be considered first for a constellation and we usually are able to accommodate them. You can contact me to be added to the list. Family systems are held together by bonds between members related by biology. Children are bonded to their parents and those who came before and they to their children and descendants. The family feels whole when these bonds are maintained. Life flows through these bonds along with strength and love. When these bonds are interrupted or blocked by overwhelming pain, suffering or trauma they are replaced by entanglements which hold the family together by merging, identifying, and sacrificing to avoid the pain and terror that is felt without these family bonds. The past becomes more important than the present and it becomes increasingly challenging for the family system to support life going forward. These bonds can be repaired and the family system healed when the events that caused the overwhelming pain, suffering or trauma are acknowledged in a way that allows their effects to dissolve or diminish so that strength and love flow again.
