Barry Krost is a Family Constellation Facilitator and Trainer, a Practitioner and Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy®, and a Life Coach.

Training

Barry graduated from The Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 1983. Since then, he.has trained or had experiences in many health, wellness and healing techniques including: Art of Living breathing, chakra balancing, chi gong, lymph drainage therapy, myofascial release techniques, reflexology, Reiki, shamanism, somatics, sports massage, tai chi chain, systemic resolutions, transcendental meditation, transpersonal psychology, trigger point therapy, vinyasa yoga and Zero Balancing.

He began learning about Ortho-Bionomy in 1991 and eventually completed training over a ten year period to be a practitioner and instructor. He has taught Ortho-Bionomy workshops since 2001 and presented at numerous conferences. He is a former President and Board member of the Society of Ortho-Bionomy International.

Since 2003, Barry has taken workshops and/or training with many leading Family Constellation facilitator/trainers including: Bertold Ulsamer, Dan Cohen and Emily Blefeld, Scott Bader, Suzi Tucker, Ursula Franke-Bryson and Thomas Bryson, Bill Mannle, Francesca Mason Boring, and Stephan Hausner. His interest in understanding systemic resolutions and victim-perpetrator dynamics in particular began with growing up with a parent and grandparents who survived concentration camps during the Holocaust.

Certifications, Registrations and Licenses

Barry is certified in Bodywork Therapy (Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals), certified in Family & Systemic Constellations (Bert Hellinger Institute, USA) and a certified Life Coach (Certified Life Coach Institute). He is also a Registered Instructor & Advanced Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy® (Society of Ortho-Bionomy International) and a Licensed Massage Therapist in Illinois, USA (IDFPR)

Education

Barry holds a BA in Anthropology from Grinnell College, an MA in History from Northeastern Illinois University.

Teaching/Mentoring

Barry has been teaching massage and bodywork trainings, workshops and continuing education to fellow practitioners since 1992. He is an Approved Provider of continuing education for the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Barry has taught and presented at numerous conferences, workshops and training seminars on many different topics.

He was a guest presenter at the 16th and 17th International Intensive in Systemic Resolution in Bernried, Germany and presented in 2021 and 2022 at the International Systemic Constellations Conference. In November 2021 he presented at the North American Systemic Constellations Conference on "Systemic Schizophrenia" and "Standing with Ancestral Strength and Protection." 

He also offers a unique online Family Constellations Facilitator Training Certification, an Advanced Training in Individual Family Constellations Sessions , Virtual Mentoring Group and Online Workshops on Special Topics for Family Constellations.
