Program Overview

The Family Constellations Facilitator Certification is an approximately 250-hour training that immerses you in systemic practice, Bert Hellinger's philosophy, and the practical skills required to guide both individual and group constellations with integrity.

Through this training, you'll learn how to:

  • Work skillfully with the "knowing field" and the Orders of Love

  • Identify and resolve hidden entanglements and inherited trauma

  • Use healing sentences and systemic interventions effectively

  • Facilitate private sessions and group workshops in a safe, effective space

This program is designed for anyone called to systemic healing, whether you're on a personal growth journey, starting a new career, or deepening your professional practice.

The Structure of the Training

As you complete each part of the training your progress is tracked in a shared Google document and reviewed regularly with Barry.

  • Essential Elements of Facilitation: A 39-hour core training course that introduces foundational principles, systemic theory, and core facilitation skills. The next Essential of Facilitation course begins JUNE 6, 2026 on Saturdays from 10am to 1:30pm CDT (Chicago) Additional sections may be offered at different days/times going based on interest.

  • Live Online Groups and Workshops: Gain 100+ hours of experiential learning through online Family Constellations groups and workshops. You may also attend a live in-person event with Barry.

  • Assigned Readings and Guided Study: Deepen your understanding with 40+ hours of reading, videos, and structured study guides from essential Family Constellations texts.

  • Mentoring and Personal Development: Receive 3–6 hours of one-on-one mentoring with Barry, plus 3–6 hours of personal healing sessions with a facilitator of your choice. You may also schedule private, one-on-one online sessions with Barry

  • Practice and Observation: Facilitate 40 hours of practice sessions, submit 3–5 recorded constellations for review, and complete an observed workshop with feedback.

Business Support and Community: Learn to build or expand your Family Constellations practice while connecting with a supportive, international community of students and facilitators.

Rhythm & Timeframe

This flexible, two-year program allows you to build your skills at a pace that fits your life, experience, goals, and schedule. The two-year schedule below can be adjusted to your needs.

Year One

  • Essential Elements of Facilitation – 39 hours

  • Online Workshops and Groups – 50 hours

  • Required Readings (first half) + guides

  • Hellinger videos – 5 hours

  • Mentoring and personal sessions – 2–4 hours

  • Practice sessions – 10 hours

Year Two

  • Online Workshops and Groups – 50 hours

  • Required Readings (second half) + guides

  • Hellinger videos – 10 hours

  • Mentoring and personal sessions – 3–6 hours

  • Practice sessions – 30 hours

  • Observed sessions and final mentoring – 3–5 constellations + 1 workshop

Tuition & Payment Options

The full certification program costs approximately $3,000 USD, paid in smaller installments as you progress through each module.

International discounts and payment plans are available. This program is intentionally designed for people with full lives and busy schedules, allowing you to complete your training within a two-year window.

Barry Krost — Trainer & Mentor

Barry Krost has devoted more than four decades to the healing arts, supporting individuals and groups in profound processes of physical, emotional, and systemic transformation. He is the founder of Healing Body Therapeutics in Chicago, where he leads Family Constellation workshops, private sessions, and facilitator trainings for a local and international community, both in person and online.

As a senior practitioner and mentor, Barry specializes in the formation of Family Constellation facilitators. His teaching emphasizes the development of presence, perception, and ethical grounding, so that students learn not only the method, but the inner stance required to guide constellations with clarity, compassion, and respect for every system.

His approach is rooted in the phenomenological foundations of Family Constellations and the philosophy of Bert Hellinger, and is informed by decades of experience in bodywork, energy-based healing, and somatic awareness. This integration supports facilitators in working with the knowing field in a way that is embodied, relational, and deeply attuned to the movements of the soul and the dignity of each person and family.
