Online Family Constellation Group Sessions

Each month, Barry Krost facilitates live online Family Constellation group sessions that explore family relationships, generational patterns, and systemic dynamics. Through representatives, systemic dialogue, and healing sentences, participants have an opportunity to explore hidden loyalties, unresolved experiences, and relationship patterns that may be influencing their lives today.

Each gathering offers a supportive and respectful environment for personal exploration, reflection, and new perspectives. If you are new to this work, you may wish to begin by learning What Are Family Constellations?

What are online Family Constellation group sessions?

Online Family Constellation group sessions are live, interactive experiences in which participants explore family system dynamics together under the guidance of an experienced facilitator. Sessions are held on Zoom and typically include three to five constellations, with volunteers serving as representatives for family members, relationships, or other significant elements within the family system.

Representatives do not act, role-play, or improvise. Instead, they remain open to what emerges during the constellation process. Many facilitators describe this as the Knowing Field—a shared field of awareness through which hidden family and systemic dynamics may become more visible. Representatives begin to notice emotions, physical sensations, thoughts, or impulses that appear to reflect the family members or relationships they represent, even though they have little or no prior knowledge of the family.

As each constellation unfolds, repeating family patterns, unconscious loyalties, hidden or excluded family members, unresolved experiences, and questions of belonging may become easier to recognize. These observations often provide new perspectives on present-day challenges and can support movement toward greater understanding, connection, and resolution.

How do the group sessions work online?

Participants join from the comfort of their homes using a computer or tablet. For the best experience, you'll need a stable internet connection, a device with a webcam and microphone, and a quiet, private space where you can participate without interruption.

Barry facilitates the constellation process using representatives selected from the group to explore family relationships, hidden patterns, unconscious loyalties, and other systemic dynamics that may be influencing the client's present-day experience.

Each three-hour live online group session typically includes:

  • A brief introduction to Family Constellations, systemic principles, and the Orders of Love

  • Three to five live Family Constellations facilitated with representatives

  • Opportunities to participate as a client, representative, or observer

  • Time for reflection, questions, and guidance to support the integration process after the session.

Why participate in an online group session?

Online Family Constellation group sessions offer more than an opportunity to explore your own question. They also provide a shared experience of learning, reflection, and systemic exploration. Whether you participate as the client, serve as a representative, or observe the process, you may:

  • Gain new perspectives on repeating family patterns

  • Experience greater clarity about long-standing challenges

  • Feel a deeper sense of connection to your family history

  • Recognize relationship dynamics that were previously difficult to understand

  • Learn through the experiences and constellations of others

Because group sessions often explore universal human experiences, many participants find that they gain meaningful insights even when they are not receiving a constellation themselves. Some people begin with a group session, while others choose a private Family Constellation session before participating in group work.

Although the session itself comes to an end, the constellation process often continues afterward. Many participants notice new insights, emotional shifts, or changes in relationships unfolding over the days or weeks that follow. Allowing time for this integration is often an important part of the overall experience.

How Constellations Are Chosen

Each group session typically includes three to five Family Constellations. Because the number of requests often exceeds the time available, not everyone who wishes to receive a constellation can be selected at every session.

Participants are welcome to request a constellation in advance, and every effort is made to provide opportunities fairly over time. However, a constellation cannot be guaranteed on a specific date.

These ongoing groups are intended as a shared learning experience rather than a one-time opportunity to receive a personal constellation. Whether you receive a constellation, serve as a representative, or observe the process, every participant contributes to the group's exploration and learning.

Constellations are selected with consideration for:

  • The readiness of the individual and the group on that day

  • Providing opportunities as fairly as possible over time

  • What appears most relevant to the group's overall learning and systemic exploration

Connecting with Others

Although each person joins with their own question or intention, online Family Constellation group sessions are also a shared experience.

Participants gather from different locations to explore common human experiences through the lens of Family Constellations. Many people discover that they learn not only from their own constellation, but also from witnessing the experiences of others. Themes such as belonging, loss, relationships, responsibility, and generational patterns often resonate across many different life stories.

Participants frequently describe:

  • Feeling welcomed and supported within the group

  • Gaining new perspectives through others' constellations

  • Recognizing common human experiences across different families

  • Feeling less alone with their own challenges

  • Appreciating the opportunity to witness the experiences of others with respect and openness

Whether you receive a constellation, serve as a representative, or observe the process, participating in an online group often brings a greater appreciation of the shared patterns that connect many family systems.
