About Barry Krost
For over four decades, Barry Krost has dedicated himself to helping others alleviate stress, restore balance, and reconnect with health and wellness through various methods. His work integrates body, mind, and systemic wisdom, assisting clients in uncovering hidden patterns and reconnecting with their innate healing capacity. He is a Family Constellation Facilitator and Trainer, a Certified Bodywork Practitioner, and a Certified Life Coach.
Professional Background
Barry Krost’s professional journey began after graduating from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 1983. Since then, he has immersed himself in a wide range of wellness and somatic disciplines, including Art of Living breathing practices, chakra balancing, qigong, lymphatic drainage therapy, myofascial release, Ortho-Bionomy®, reflexology, Reiki, shamanic practices, somatics, sports massage, tai chi chuan, systemic constellations, Transcendental Meditation, transpersonal psychology, trigger point therapy, vinyasa yoga, and Zero Balancing.
Barry has completed thousands of hours of training in the United States and Europe, developing both advanced therapeutic skills and a deep foundation in personal and systemic healing. He began studying Ortho-Bionomy® in 1991 and, after more than a decade of training, became both a practitioner and instructor. Since 2001, he has taught Ortho-Bionomy workshops nationwide and presented at numerous professional conferences. He also served as President and Board Member of the Society of Ortho-Bionomy International.
Teaching & Mentoring
Barry has been teaching massage, bodywork, and continuing education courses to practitioners since 1992. As an Approved Continuing Education Provider with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), he has taught and presented at conferences, workshops, and professional training programs across a wide range of topics.
His international teaching experience includes serving as a guest presenter at the 16th and 17th International Intensive in Systemic Resolution in Bernried, Germany, and presenting at the International Systemic Constellations Conferences in 2021 and 2022. At the North American Systemic Constellations Conference (2021), he presented Systemic Schizophreniaand Standing with Ancestral Strength and Protection.
In August 2025, Barry taught a training in Estonia on Mental Health and Autoimmune Disorders in Family Systems. In October 2025, he served as a keynote speaker at the International Systemic Constellations Association Gathering in Mexico, where he presented A Dynamic Exchange of Life: Giving and Taking in Ancient Cultures and led a session on Completing Our Interrupted Reaching Out Movement to Father.

Barry is certified in Bodywork Therapy(Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals), Family & Systemic Constellations (Bert Hellinger Institute, USA), and Life Coaching (Certified Life Coach Institute). He is also a Licensed Massage Therapist in Illinois, USA (IDFPR).
Education & Systemic Training
Barry holds a BA in Anthropology from Grinnell College and an MA in History from Northeastern Illinois University.
Since 2003, he has studied Family Constellations with leading international facilitators, including Bertold Ulsamer, Dan Cohen, Scott Bader, Suzi Tucker, Ursula Franke-Bryson and Thomas Bryson, Bill Mannle, Francesca Mason Boring, and Stephan Hausner.
His deep interest in systemic healing—particularly in the dynamics of victim and perpetrator—is informed not only by his professional training, but also by his personal history as the child and grandchild of Holocaust survivors.
